Five essential astro vastu tips for a home from a women’s perspective

Unlike the old days where only men used to leave the house for work, today we have both moving out. But still when we talk about a house, the energies are mostly women centric. Here is a list of five most important points you should note for a house.

Family Photographs

One important thing to remember while putting photos on the wall is that you have to change these photos every now and then. Selecting the pictures has to be a family activity. There are so many options for placing a photograph. Table top, walls, even refrigerator magnets. Placement of pictures has to be vastu compliant to get the maximum benefits.

Pictures on the wall are the most selected of your happy memories. Looking at them several times a day will give you happiness and they help radiate positive energy.

A bed and some important pointers

Get the most comfortable mattress money can buy for the bedroom. That will ensure good sleep. Do not have any mirrors facing the bed room Avoid temples in the bedroom. Use soft golden glow dim lights in the bedroom and do not put a TV if possible. Do not use dark colours for the bedroom walls.

Indoor plants

You would have already heard so many times that plants are good for the house. Ficus, ferns, aloe vera and money plant are common Indian household names. Areca Palm is a great indoor plant but it requires large spaces to grow.

Bonsai is the most adorable plant for a lot of people. They are expensive too. But the fact is that a bonsai is not good for your home. It represents stunted growth. Another plant that can be avoided is the cactus and all its varieties.

But the most important point you need to note here is that do not use an artificial plant inside the house. That also includes plant pictures too. Plants require daily maintenance and nourishment. If you do not have the time, do not keep any plant in the house.

Pooja Room

Warm and bright lights are best for the Pooja room. Metallic objects are also beneficial. Always have the pooja room on the ground floor. Avoid overcrowding the room and check before placing idols. Doors are very important if you are keeping a pooja room. Avoid keeping anything broken in the room.

Old, defective and broken things

Indians love to keep things. Case in point is all the plastic container kept in the house which we get from various deliveries and packings.

Carry out one cleanup exercise for the house every three to six months. In fact before Diwali we carry out a similar exercise. That is more of cleaning of the house. Broken frames, old electronics, out of date cameras, discoloured furniture items and most important of all, an broken or cracked glass. This list is small, but you can take you own judgement call.
